The America Needs Love Campaign

Well over a decade ago, my great friend and former building administrator called me into his office. He sat me down, folded his hands together and pensively stated, “Theresa, the next time you are going to form a movement, could you give me a heads up?”

Ha! He was inferring that parents were calling the school building asking if a novel I recommended to the students was homework or in addition to the curriculum! You see, most of the student body was reading it, unbeknownst to me!

That was good stuff! Inspiring my own students, let alone hundreds of others to read and build an advocacy for literacy felt like Rockstar Status!

What feels like eons later, after several additional unexpected gifts in the form of inspiring others, I am asking you, to share and motivate our fellow man at a whole new level!

What am I going to do?

I am going to muster all the courage I have to reach out to people everywhere I travel, and share their ideas of love through photos, videos, and their words, and hopefully,

it makes your day better!

What am I asking of you?

To simply share and spread

LOVE!

Love is…hope, joy, laughter, kindness, togetherness…

It might be defined as anything you experience in your life that does not need a condition to follow…a smile, a handshake, thoughtful words, wiping someone’s tears away…

Love is the universal common thread that bonds us together,

in the best of times and the darkest of times.

So, let's do this thing

and spread smiles and happiness because

#AmericaNeedsLove for today and our future.
